WORK EXPERIENCE -

Academic Support Manager in Adult Degree Completion Program 

  • Develop and implement individualized academic plans for students facing academic challenges, resulting in improvement in GPA and an increase in course completion rates and graduation rates among the adult learners under my guidance.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and outcomes using TracCloud, enabling evidence-based decision-making to further enhance academic support strategies.

Patient Assistance Program Counselor, Customer Service Representative             

  • Fast paced, remote customer service representative that triaged inbound calls, carefully assessed their purpose, prioritized handling, and then documented that information within multiple systems.
  • Collaborated closely with patients and HCP office staff to pre-screen eligibility requirements, exhaust payer requirements/barriers, refill prescriptions, assist with client documentation and obtain application information.
  • Refilled patient’s medications, insured prescriptions were written accurate, and medications sent out on the correct date, via the correct method and arrived at the patient's home at the correct time.
  • Engaged with patients and providers via inbound and outbound calls, providing guidance and education on program eligibility, pre-screening, additional assistance information, explaining Medicaid requirements, obtaining needed information for completion of application, prior authorizations and then providing that information to them and their HCP.
  • Collaborated with customers to complete PAP documentation for the free-drug eligibility screening process based on multiple PAP criteria/requirements for the medications: Aimoviq, Corlanor, Otezla and Repatha
  • Confidentiality was imperative and HIPAA guidelines (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) had to be followed as well as reporting medication adverse events to FDA online.

Senior Helpers of Chattanooga, Oct. 2019 – Jan. 2020

  • Pioneered the creation and management of Senior Helpers of Chattanooga's first Facebook job page with an online application process, attracting over forty qualified applicants within the first three weeks

  • Became Southern Adventist’s University first Academic Coach and tasked with creating the Academic Coaching program from the ground up - developed custom academic support materials drawing from experts in the field, including study guides, time management templates, and test preparation strategies, enhancing students' access to valuable resources.
  • Collaborated with university departments, faculty, and staff to facilitate workshops and seminars on study skills, time management, and test preparation, reaching students and receiving consistently positive feedback on the effectiveness of these programs.
  • Utilized the latest research regarding study skills, time management, procrastination, ADHD, brain growth, and neurodivergent brain and then implemented that research into my academic coaching sessions and created materials
